Archives: Designer & Seller
We exclusively sell trees and shrubs, no perennial forbs or grasses. Our inventory is 90% native species. We very intentionally don't sell invasive plants, which to us includes anything on the IN Terrestrial list plus more species we feel have invasive tendencies, e.g., golden raintree, mimosa, etc.
The non-native species we carry are primarily popular landscaping species like Green Giant arborvitae, Japanese maple, and Nanking cherry. We're keeping tabs on all of our non-native species to ensure none of them are showing problematic spread. For example, with Japanese maples, we're a little cautious and one of our sales goals for the 2025-2026 season is to encourage Forest Pansy redbud trees as a substitute.
Spaulding Restoration–Designer
I am a landscaper that exclusively uses native species, with 95% being straight species instead of cultivars. I offer lawn conversions, foundation bed plantings, invasive plant removal (for homes and large woodland property) and I offer coaching services for those interested in DIY projects. I have 4 years experience designing native gardens that are both formal (flowers throughout the season, drifts, clumps, repetition of pattern) and also ecologically beneficial.
New Leaf Nursery
I am a small but growing plant nursery specializing in Native Plants. The majority of my nursery stock I sell are native plants, with a minority being exotic outdoor plants and indoor houseplants. None of the exotic plants I occasionally sell are invasive to our area. I primarily sell retail, but I am exploring selling native plants in larger quantities to wholesale customers including local landscapers, retail nurseries, and habitat restoration companies.
Copper Cataract Homestead
We are selling grasses and forbes that are all native to the Midwest region. Our seed is locally sourced from Prairie Moon Nursery. We are selling 4" potted plants and also curated garden 50 cell flats for pollinator gardens, rain gardens and prairie gardens. We try to help educate the community on the importance of native plants and the harm invasives can cause.
The Rooted Archer
I'm a landscape designer who implements only native and non invasive plant species while also educating homeowners on the importance of removing invasives (a service I also provide).

Bundle Sticks Farm
Our nursery grows primarily native plants from seed. The species we grow were chosen for our USDA EQIP pollinator plot and wildlife plots by our NRCS agents and their partners at Pheasants Forever. There are a handful of species that we have started from seed we collected from our farm or neighbor's farms that are not on the list attached here, including redbud, elderberry, and Monarda fistulosa. We do sell some non-native plants including some of our favorite vegetables, cut flowers, and basketry willows.
Woodland Treasures Native Nursery, LLC
I will be selling natives only which thrive in the shade or woodland edge. Many will be Walnut-safe and Deer-resistant.
