Welcome to the Northeast Chapter of the Indiana Native Plant Society.

Join us for a variety of Events & Activities throughout the year!

We’re a diverse group, from home gardeners to restoration professionals, but what knits us together is a strong interest in protecting and promoting native plants, the backbone of the natural world. Many of our members bring different areas of knowledge to the table—from geology to botany and birding—and all of us are intent on learning more about how natives contribute to our world.

Whether your interest is pollinator gardens or sedge meadows, prairie restoration or woodland ephemerals, you’re likely to find other members who share that interest in our chapter. In northeast Indiana, we enjoy a beautiful region studded with natural lakes, and our native plants are key players in the varied habitats found here.

Each year, the INPS-Northeast chapter offers our members a full calendar of events such as these:

  • Wildflower hikes
  • Prairie burn observations
  • Private garden tours
  • Invasive removal events at area nature preserves
  • Native plant swaps
  • Picnics at sites of interest
  • Talks and presentations on native plants

Join us to learn more about native plants, chat with people who share your interests, and help get the word out about natives. We’re a friendly, engaged group, and we’d love to meet you. Consider yourself personally invited!
