We grow from native seed a wide variety of plant species for home, governmental or commercial gardens. Our nursery has flourished in its 16-year history and continues to provide many sizes of all of our plants. We work with homeowners on designs and installations. Our plants are organic, providing quality nectar, seed and shelter for wildlife. Native plants help clean water, air and soil while providing beautiful and beneficial landscaping. We will continue to grow and spread the good news of native gardening and humans' relationship with the earth.

Independent landscape company experienced in designing with natives. We incorporate native perennials sourced from local genotype seed, when available, as well as regional natives and nativars. Having designed with natives for over 20 years, our team is well-versed in the use of shrubs and trees native to the state/region. We also have a full-service team to assist with installation and maintenance of our designs.
We use non-native plants in our landscapes as well but will not use invasive species as designated by the Indiana Invasive Species Council.

In line with the Knox County Soil & Water Conservation District’s Native Plant Program, the Knox County CISMA will be selling some native plants at a couple of events this year, including the Spirit of Vincennes Rendezvous, the Knox County Fair, and Knox County Nature Days. We are proud to supply exclusively native plants, and most of the seeds are hand collected in Knox County (so local ecotype as well). We want to illustrate the benefits of native plants and how they can be beautiful in gardens, wildlife plots, and more. We will have a variety of herbaceous wildflowers, grasses, and a couple shrubs and vines. For details on the sales or questions about specific plants, email Will Drews, Natural Resource Specialist with the Knox County SWCD, at willem.drews@in.nacdnet.net

Indy Urban Acres (LIMITED SALE DATES)
Indy Urban Acres is an non-profit farm run through the Indianapolis Parks Foundation. We grow produce using organic and soil health practices, and donate 100% of the produce to combat food insecurity. We run a spring plant sale that features native plants; the list and pick up dates are on our website. We are actively installing more native and pollinator habitat on our farm site, and incorporating native plant agriculture. We believe in the importance of creating more habitat for beneficial insects and pollinator species and want to be another source of plant stock for people in Indianapolis.
