In line with the Knox County Soil & Water Conservation District’s  Native Plant Program, the Knox County CISMA will be selling some native plants at a couple of events this year, including the Spirit of Vincennes Rendezvous, the Knox County Fair, and Knox County Nature Days. We are proud to supply exclusively native plants, and most of the seeds are hand collected in Knox County (so local ecotype as well). We want to illustrate the benefits of native plants and how they can be beautiful in gardens, wildlife plots, and more. We will have a variety of herbaceous wildflowers, grasses, and a couple shrubs and vines. Indy Urban Acres is an non-profit farm run through the Indianapolis Parks Foundation. We grow produce using organic and soil health practices, and donate 100% of the produce to combat food insecurity. We run a spring plant sale that features native plants; the list and pick up dates are on our website. We are actively installing more native and pollinator habitat on our farm site, and incorporating native plant agriculture. We believe in the importance of creating more habitat for beneficial insects and pollinator species and want to be another source of plant stock for people in Indianapolis.

We're located in Hamilton County, SW Ohio. We grow exclusively native herbaceous plants and woody plants. We do not propagate invasive plants or non-native plants. The only native cultivars we propagate are for food production i.e. Sunchoke cultivars. Everything else is straight species.

Indiana Wildlife Federation has been a strong advocate for healthy wildlife habitats since our inception in 1938. For the past nine years we have been partnering with local Indiana native plant nursery, Cardno, to offer our members and the general public opportunities to purchase native Indiana plants to help their backyard and local ecosystems thrive while offering habitat to native wildlife species. We promote this sale annually starting in spring and going through the summer months. To assist people in finding the plants that fit their own desires we split them up into different "kits" varying from focuses on wetland varieties to those best suited for our native pollinators. Each kit comes with ten different native plants, five plugs per plant species, giving each person a total of 50 plugs of native Indiana plants. Also offered are native bare root trees and shrubs including species such as the White Oak and Elderberry. We also offer native wildflower seed packets through the sale.
