We're located in Hamilton County, SW Ohio. We grow exclusively native herbaceous plants and woody plants. We do not propagate invasive plants or non-native plants. The only native cultivars we propagate are for food production i.e. Sunchoke cultivars. Everything else is straight species.

Indiana Wildlife Federation has been a strong advocate for healthy wildlife habitats since our inception in 1938. For the past nine years we have been partnering with local Indiana native plant nursery, Cardno, to offer our members and the general public opportunities to purchase native Indiana plants to help their backyard and local ecosystems thrive while offering habitat to native wildlife species. We promote this sale annually starting in spring and going through the summer months. To assist people in finding the plants that fit their own desires we split them up into different "kits" varying from focuses on wetland varieties to those best suited for our native pollinators. Each kit comes with ten different native plants, five plugs per plant species, giving each person a total of 50 plugs of native Indiana plants. Also offered are native bare root trees and shrubs including species such as the White Oak and Elderberry. We also offer native wildflower seed packets through the sale. See website for more details.

Indiana Natives at Stranger’s Hill Organics
100% native, certified organically-grown plants. Species are sourced from Midwest states. We offer a large selection of native prairie, woodland, and aquatic plants, all grown certified organic! If you are interested in buying plants direct from us at our farm, contact Dave Rollo at 812-272-2207. Plants are also for sale at the Deep Roots Garden Center.

Sale location in Indianapolis varies. This popular free event is INPS’ biggest fundraiser and our most effective way to reach the public. It takes place annually on the Saturday before Mother’s Day. All plants sold are native. See website for more details.

The Hinkle-Garton Farmstead is a nonprofit-owned museum and historic site with all programming and initiatives overseen by volunteers. Our Daisy Days Plant Sale (named for property donor, Daisy Hinkle Garton) started in 2005 and features native plants sourced from Spence Restoration Nursery in Muncie, Indiana. Plugs not sold in one year are over-wintered and re-potted as more mature specimens. Because we are a small operation and always working to propagate more options, our stock at the time of our sale or at other times may also include native trees. The Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District holds a spring native plant kit sale and a fall native tree sale. All proceeds go back to conservation and education projects. We design and install full master plans for commercial and residential with focus on rain gardens, pollinator gardens, and native plantings. We do not use invasive plants and use natives as preferred plant choice.
