Indiana’s natural areas serve as refuges to countless species of plants and animals, some of which are listed as rare, threatened and endangered. The Indiana Plant Conservation Alliance works to protect and enhance some of those populations.

Nathan Herbert, Northeast Indiana Steward for The Nature Conservancy, is the rare plant team lead for the northeast region of the Indiana Plant Conservation Alliance. He will discuss the important work they’re doing on endangered or threatened plants such as kittentails (Besseya bullii) and what you can do to help.

Nathan is a Fort Wayne resident and long-time steward of Indiana natural areas. His connection and understanding of the places he is charged with protecting shine through in his thoughtful presentations.

Space is limited, so please register in advance.
