Tom Hohman to Speak on Gardening with Natives
Tom Hohman, immediate past president of INPAWS, will speak on August 11 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. His aim: to teach us how—and why—to garden with plants native to our region.
Tom will show slides and living examples of the varieties most popular in home gardens, and suggest substitutes for common landscaping plants that are actually invasive in our area. After the workshop, all who are interested can join in a walk to Fall Creek, to identify invasive plants along the waterway.
Sponsored by Fall Creek Gardens, the talk will take place at the nearby Unleavened Bread Cafe, 3001 Central Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46205. There will be door prizes, so don’t miss this fun and informative event!
