Indianapolis Area Nurseries Offer Native Plants

Following up on a successful pilot program in the Bloomington area, INPS Central Chapter is initiating the Go Green, Grow Native program in the Indianapolis area.  The program helps consumers locate native plants at local retail nurseries by providing promotional materials to the nurseries who sign up for the program.  The promotional materials prominently display the Go Green, Go Native logo where the native plants are sold.

Although INPS encourages the use of standard native plant species in residential and commercial landscaping, variants of these native plants, called cultivars or nativars, are allowed to be included in the native offerings by the nurseries.
