Heart of the River to Host Community Forum on Reservoir Proposal June 2
Heart of the River Coalition will sponsor a Community Forum for Reservoir Concerns to be held on Tuesday, June 2, from 7 – 9pm at Anderson University’s Byrum Hall, 1100 E. 5th St. in Anderson, IN.
John Fillwalk, Director of the Institute for Digital Intermedia Arts whose work has appeared on the History Channel and PBS, will use 3D graphics to illustrate the virtual inundation of the White River valley.
Bradley Rayl, former engineer for the City of Anderson, will address fatal flaws in the reservoir plan.
Tom Hohman, former IDNR Director of Engineering, will expose understated cost estimates in the Phase II feasibility study and explain why the dam is not likely to be permitted.
Tim Maloney with the Hoosier Environmental Council will share how communities like ours have used greenways and free-flowing rivers to reinvent themselves.
