Northeast Chapter Events thru June
We’ve got some enticing events coming soon that we want you to know about!
Douglas Woods Nature Preserve, CR4A, Hamilton, IN, THIS
We got rained out of the hike at Douglas Woods earlier this month but several determined INPS members from the NE local chapter decided this place was just too special not to try again. So put your rain boots on, pack a jacket just in case and Join Us!
- We’ll be there rain or shine (back up plan is to head to Hamilton to the Rogers House restaurant for commiseration, coffee and good talk)
- expect muddy conditions but much improved from last date
- water and bug spray provided
- we will park off the road
- for anyone who doesn’t want to walk the distance back to the woods (about 1/4 mile) we can car pool to the start point
- terrain is gently rolling but there is one small stream to jump or wade through
- this will be a slow pace hike to accommodate all but anyone is welcome to take off at their own pace if they want to
