INPS Program Facilitator Arrives

We are pleased to welcome Jill Casey to the INPS team as our new Program Facilitator. Thanks to a three-year Sam Shine Foundation matching grant, Jill will boost our organizational effectiveness and enable an important conservation effort. Her responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the development of an Indiana “plants of concern” community science monitoring program in partnership with the Indiana Plant Conservation Alliance (INPCA) and the Indiana Natural Heritage Data Center (INHDC) at the Indiana Department of Natural Resources – Division of Nature Preserves (DNP).
  • Volunteer coordination to maximize the engagement of INPS members in volunteer activities.
  • Continued development and accuracy of INPS’s Indiana Native Plant Finder.
  • Raising awareness among the INPS membership and the public of the many resources and activities that INPS offers, with a view to recruiting new members and encouraging the public to make use of INPS offerings.
  • Operational support for a variety of efforts in pursuit of the INPS mission.

Jill can be reached at facilitator@indiananativeplants.org. Please make her feel welcome.
