Are you frustrated with seeing plants you know to be invasive, such as Callery Pear, Burning Bush, Periwinkle, and English Ivy, being sold and planted in your neighborhood? Learn how you can make a difference in your community.
Community advocates Steve Sass and Amanda Smith will discuss their volunteer work in the City of South Bend to draft and promote a municipal invasive plant species ban in South Bend, Indiana.
The City’s new ordinance, which took effect in September 2021, bolsters Indiana’s 2019 Terrestrial Plant Rule by adding 47 species of land-based plants.
