Butterfly Milkweed is the INPS 2022 Native Plant of the Year!
INPS members voted between five different native plants to choose the winning native 2022 Native Plant of the Year. Butterfly milkweed was the clear winner, for its vibrant orange flowers, abundant nectar for pollinators, and for serving as a host plant for monarch caterpillars. This artwork by Mary Welz shows the butterfly milkweed in all its glory with a monarch butterfly and caterpillar enjoying this native plant.
