INPS Volunteers Help Re-Create Butler’s Historic Holcomb Gardens

Thank you for sharing your time, talent, and treasure with Butler University as volunteers and donors who made the restoration of Holcomb Gardens a success!
Our community planting day on Monday, September 30 exceeded all expectations.
We had over 400 volunteers and planted 3,700 plants. We simply couldn’t have done it without you. Our talented partners at the Indiana Native Plant Society (INPS) provided beautiful designs and hundreds of hours of collective service to bring this project to life, and we are so grateful. We look forward to continuing our Butler/INPS collaboration well into the future.
All of you who served as lead gardeners, educators, greeters, and shift volunteers truly made history and made a difference. These beautiful gardens will benefit our entire community now and for generations to come.

Our next steps include the installation of permanent signage in the Gardens, educational programming linked to the Gardens, and the establishment of a Butler Garden Club for those who wish to volunteer at the Gardens.
