Welcome to the South Central Chapter of the Indiana Native Plant Society!
This chapter includes more than 165 households spanning 24 counties. Many of our chapter members have significant expertise in the native plant communities of Indiana. Many others, like me, love gardening but also want to learn more about creating a healthy ecosystem in their own yards. South Central Indiana has a wonderful climate for growing a large diversity of plants, and I was pleased to learn how many beautiful native plants we have to enjoy.
No matter how much or little you know about native plants, this is the place to start! We are all volunteers who share an interest in preserving our native plant life, battling invasive plants, enjoying native wildflowers, attracting pollinators, or serving as ambassadors to the public.
Explore our website to get ideas, get questions answered, or learn more about what we do. Join us for program presentations, a native plant swap or a wildflower hike. We welcome everyone who shares our interests and invite you to contribute as you can.
Thank you for visiting and we hope to welcome you into our district in the near future. Enjoy our beautiful region of the planet.
